Shibir ready to respond to any anarchy tomorrow: Shibir President
The party’s central president Md. Zahidul Islam said that the Islami Chhatra Shibir is ready to give a befitting reply to any anarchy tomorrow, Thursday. He said that the Chhatra Shibir will observe a sit-in program across the country tomorrow along with the student community. At the same time, he also announced protests, processions and rallies in the capital Dhaka.
Zahidul Islam said, ‘Some leaders and workers of the banned Awami League have announced a Dhaka lockdown program tomorrow. We want to clearly inform them that fascism and anarchy have no place in the new Bangladesh. The student community and the people will resist any attempt to destroy the peace and order of the country. Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir is ready to give a befitting reply to any anarchy along with all the students and people of the country. A sit-in program will be observed across the country tomorrow along with the students and people.’
The Shibir president said, ‘Tomorrow, the International Crimes Tribunal will announce the verdict of the trial of the murderer Hasina. In this context, the leaders and activists of the banned Awami League are creating panic in the public mind through vandalism, arson and murder in various places. In the last two days, the miscreants of this terrorist organization have set fire to more than 15 buses. A bus driver was killed while sleeping in Mymensingh as a victim of their arson and terror.’
Blaming the indifference of the government and law enforcement agencies, Zahidul Islam said, ‘We think that the indifference of the government and law enforcement agencies is the reason for this. We are calling on the government to immediately bring these arson terrorists under the law and face justice. At the same time, we are strongly demanding that all individuals, groups, institutions and organizations involved in the July genocide and all disappearances, murders, torture and human rights violations be brought to justice. We also demand legal action against those who played a role in legitimizing this fascist regime.’

Zahidul Islam complained, ‘Although the trial of the leaders and activists of the banned organization Awami League has begun, it is very slow. This is because some leaders and activists of the privileged political party have delayed the trial in exchange for a large sum of money. At the same time, a party has obtained bail through litigation to release the arrested Awami League leaders, which is very sad. Some individuals with fascist mentality and lawyers of various political parties are involved in this bail. Many such information is being published in the media.’
Shibir Secretary Nurul Islam Saddam, Publicity Secretary Azizur Rahman Azad, Office Secretary Sibgatullah Sibga and other leaders were also present at the press conference.
