Organizers Dismiss Rumors: Atif’s Concert to Proceed as Scheduled
Pakistani artist Atif islam Azmat’s concert has already been canceled due to security concerns. Now, there is concern about another Pakistani musician, Atif Aslam’s concert. News has spread that Atif Aslam’s concert was announced to be held at Bashundhara Ground on December 13, but the organizers have not yet contacted the venue authorities. After that, rumors of the concert’s cancellation arose. However, the organizing organization, Main Stage, confirmed yesterday that Atif Aslam’s concert will be held on schedule.
The organizing organization, Main Stage, said in a statement, “We are working with all the relevant government departments and authorities to ensure that the event can be held in a completely orderly and safe manner. We are confident that the relevant organizations will provide maximum support to this positive social initiative of the youth.”
Although the organizers have confirmed the concert, they have not yet announced the name of the venue. They claim that the name of the venue is not being disclosed at this time due to security concerns. However, the concert will be held at an outdoor concert arena located between 100 feet and 300 feet of Bashundhara. The organizers said, “All necessary preparations and formalities related to the venue have already been completed. All arrangements are being made with utmost importance to the safety of the audience and artists. We are hopeful that a successful and safe concert will be organized with the cooperation of the concerned authorities.”
A portion of the ticket sales for Atif Aslam’s concert will be donated to the July protesters and their families through the Private University Students’ Alliance of Bangladesh. Ticket sales are going on on the online platform Chaloghuri.com.
Apart from this concert, Atif is scheduled to perform at a charity concert titled ‘Echoes of Revolution 2.0’. The entire proceeds from the charity concert organized by the platform Spirit of July will be donated to the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation. This concert is scheduled to be held between December 12 and 20.
