BPL with 5 teams, who got which team?

The next edition of BPL will have five teams. The BCB has also finalized the ownership of the franchises after the BPL Governing Council meeting at Navana Tower in Gulshan today.

Bashundhara Group-controlled Togi Sports has been given the ownership of Rangpur Riders. Triangle Service has been given the Chittagong franchise. In addition, Nabil Group Rajshahi, Cricket with Sami Sylhet and Champion Sports (Remark-Harlan) have been given the ownership of the Dhaka franchise.
After announcing the team allocation at a press conference in Gulshan, BPL Governing Council Member Secretary Iftekhar Rahman said, “We have been able to finalize these five teams after conducting a thorough analysis, looking at financial transparency and other issues.”

The BCB said that the names will be decided after discussing with the teams. Franchise ownership is being given for the next five years. However, if they do not receive a bank guarantee of Tk 10 crore within five working days from tomorrow, they will not be allowed to participate in the draft.

This year’s BPL is scheduled to start in mid-December. The players’ draft will be held on November 17.
